Imagemme - On a Mission with a Vision - Source: JewelryBlogger.com

Every month, Jewelry Blogger focuses on emerging companies, within the jewelry industry, which have a mission, vision and inspiration. One such company is IMAGEMME. The company is seeking talented jewelry designers...

I M A G E M M E -- which combines the words image and gemstone in three different languages - English, French and Portuguese - is the brainchild of two young entrepreneurs whose paths converged while attending New York University.  This unusual blending of lexicon speaks to the company's global-mindedness and its founders' commitment to changing perception of the jewelry business.

The idea for I M A G E M M E came about when Amina and Gabriel - both equally drawn to the luxury goods business for different reasons - decided to combine their professional talents with their philanthropic aspirations in a category brimming with opportunity and poised for change.

I M A G E M M E is dedicated to cultivating emerging jewelry designers around the world..

Why?  Because there is so much global talent and designers don't typically have the time, financial resources or the ability to focus on developing their business.

I M A G E M M E partners with emerging jewelry designers to help bring their vision to life.  We focus on the business of brand-building, leaving designers unbridled to focus on what they do best: the art and craft of jewelry design.

Historically, jewelry has been a marker of social standing.  Even today, the bigger the bauble, the more attention and discussion it generates.  But as we know, quantity and quality can be two very different and subjective things. Additionally, there's a lot of intellectual and social controversy about the jewelry business at large.

I M A G E M M E views the jewelry business as something potentially different.

More than a vehicle for self-expression; a decorative showcase for one's sense of style; a way for people to mark special occasions, celebrate commitments and demonstrate devotion to a partner, child or friend, jewelry can and should be linked to a higher purpose.  Jewelry can go beyond its material function and make a real difference in the lives of people around the world.  Jewelry can have a soul.

With every brand, I M A G E M M E donates a portion of profits to organizations dedicated to helping those in need.

I M A G E M M E identifies emerging jewelry designers and collaborates with those designers to strategically launch their brand - providing marketing support, manufacturing services, retail distribution, wholesale distribution and other business development strategies.  The result of this alliance is a dynamic business partnership in which we share equally in your brand's success.

Your vision, passion and talent drive our ability to take your brand to a global stage.  We are committed to allocating the best resources to your brand from concept to counter. We have access to manufacturers around the world, and deep relationships with the retail community and the press, to ensure that your brand has a real chance at success.  Our goal is to promote authentic craftsmanship, set new standards in quality and construction, and develop brands that re-define luxury across affordable and aspirational price points.

I M A G E M M E believes that business should be an instrument for social responsibility and change, and that luxury goods purchases should have value beyond the aesthetic. To this end, I M A G E M M E prides itself on fair trade practices, giving back and a general concern for the common good. Every year, a portion of after-tax profits will be earmarked to organizations dedicated to safeguarding children, preserving the arts and sustaining a healthy planet.
