WASHINGTON (AP) -- The president of luxury jewelry retailer Tiffany & Co. exercised options for 25,000 shares of common stock under a prearranged trading plan, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

In a Form 4 filed Thursday with the SEC, James E. Quinn reported he exercised the options Tuesday for $14.98 apiece and then sold all 25,000 shares on the same day for $52 to $52.11 apiece.

The chairman and chief executive of luxury jewelry retailer Tiffany & Co. exercised options for 100,000 shares of common stock under a prearranged trading plan, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

In a Form 4 filed Thursday with the SEC, Michael J. Kowalski reported he exercised the options Tuesday for $9.45 apiece and then sold all 100,000 shares on the same day for $52 apiece.

The executive vice president and chief financial officer of luxury jewelry retailer Tiffany & Co. exercised options for 56,933 shares of common stock under a prearranged trading plan, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

In a Form 4 filed Thursday with the SEC, James N. Fernandez reported he exercised the options Tuesday for $14.98 apiece and then sold 42,700 shares on the same day for $50.30 to $50.56 apiece.

The stock sales were conducted under a prearranged 10b5-1 trading plan which allows company insiders to set up a program in advance for such transactions and proceed even if they come into possession of material nonpublic information.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.
