Gemesis to Increase Production of Lab-Grown Diamonds - National Jeweler Network

Sarasota, Fla.—The Gemesis Corp.—which produces man-made fancy-color diamonds at its Florida facility—has announced plans to more than double the size of its 30,000-square-foot headquarters.

"There has been a noticeable increase in consumer demand for cultured diamonds, and we feel that the time is right to increase our capacity," Gemesis Chief Executive Officer and President Stephen Lux said during the ground-breaking ceremony for the facility. "This plan will help meet the growing demand and give more consumers access to fancy-color diamonds."

Construction begins immediately. Once completed, production at Gemesis will increase by more than 1.5 times its current level, the company said.

"The increase in capacity will also allow Gemesis to bring more colors to market without reducing the supply of our current offering," Lux said.
