Richemont acquires Roger Dubuis' component manufacturing

Geneva—The Richemont Group has purchased the component production facility of watch manufacturer Roger Dubuis SA.

The facility, located in Meyrin, Switzerland, just outside of Geneva, currently manufactures movement kits for Roger Dubuis' "Poincon de Geneve" watch movements. Under the terms of a long-term agreement, Richemont will, going forward, supply these kits to Roger Dubuis.

In addition to the supply agreement, Richemont will distribute Roger Dubuis watches in such key markets as the United States and the Middle East.

In a statement, the group said it also hopes to extend the production capacity at the Meyrin facility to cope with the increased demand of components for high-end watches, both for Roger Dubuis and also for Richemont's own Maisons, including A. Lange and Sohne, Baume and Mercier, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Officine Panerai, Piaget and Vacheron Constantin.

Manufacturer Roger Dubuis SA will continue to operate as an independent manufacturer and distributor under the "Roger Dubuis" name.
