Platinum Gains on African Supply Concern; Palladium Also Climbs - JB News Feed
Platinum gained in London on concern that wage negotiations this month in South Africa, the biggest producer of the metal, may lead to supply disruptions.
Lonmin Plc, the world's third-largest producer, is starting talks with labor unions at the end of the month, Suki Cooper, an analyst with Barclays Capital in London, said in an interview today.
``The market is finely balanced,'' Cooper said. ``There could be a risk of further disruptions'' in supply.
