The Knot reveals latest wedding trends - JB News Feed

New York—Leading wedding resource The Knot declares environmentally friendly weddings and smaller bridal parties among the newest trends for today's brides and grooms in the Fall 2007/Winter 2008 issue of The Knot magazine.

Editor in chief Carley Roney says couples want to combine both personal style and values into their weddings.

"Whether it's a bridal shower that gives back or an eco-friendly fete, couples are raising the bar and infusing substance with style when it comes to planning their wedding-day details," Roney said in a statement.

Also among the latest wedding trends says The Knot are bridal showers with a purpose (such as a bride-to-be and her bridesmaids planting trees in a local park to help the environment), head-turning invitations that use less paper, eclectic reception décor, natural bridal style with Grecian-inspired fashion (the fairytale princess look is out), more decadent desserts and multi-destination honeymoons.
