Calvin Klein's Pearls May Fetch $3.1 Million at Sotheby's Sale - Bloomberg

(Bloomberg) -- Calvin Klein and his ex-wife, Kelly, are selling three pieces of natural-pearl and diamond jewelry that once belonged to the Duchess of Windsor through Sotheby's in New York this December. They carry a combined high estimate of $3.1 million.

One piece is a 14-inch necklace with 28 natural pearls varying from 9.2 to 16.8 millimeters in diameter and an oval diamond clasp. Klein paid $733,333 for it at Sotheby's 1987 sale ``The Jewels of the Duchess of Windsor.'' The auction took in $50.3 million and remains the record for any single-owner jewelry sale, according to Sotheby's.
