Fort Lauderdale, Fla.—Nine of Broward County's top business and community leaders were honored at the annual Diamond CEO Awards held at Nova Southeastern University. The South Florida Business Journal and Levinson Jewelers presented the awards.

Mark Levinson, co-owner of Levinson Jewelers in Plantation, Fla., said they were honored to take part in recognizing leaders.

"As a devoted entrepreneur, I recognize that doing business and giving back to the community go hand-in-hand," Levinson said in a statement.

Winners are picked based on professional achievement, leadership, vision, philanthropy and overall community contributions. They included Joe Amaturo of Amaturo Family Partnership, Howard S. Dvorkin of Consolidated Credit Counseling, Joel Feinberg of Sports Talk 790 The Ticket, Tanzer Kalayci of Keith Schnars, P.A., Thomas E. Lewis of Broward Marine, Stephen McGill of Eastern Financial Florida Credit Union, Angela Nowland of The Capital Grille, Carl Schuster of Ruden McClosky and Stephen Jackman of Seitlin Insurance, who also received the Diamond CEO Lifetime Achievement Award.

More than 100 guests attended the event and were treated to live music, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres compliments of The Capital Grille.
