There's nothing like a little eye-catching bling to liven up the season. Christie's is putting 300 lots of Magnificent Jewels on the block Oct. 16 at its Rockefeller Center headquarters in New York, along with 40 pieces sold during a separate single-owner-sale session devoted to "Magnificent Jewels from a Distinguished Private Collection."

The auction house estimates that the jewelry up for grabs, which includes rare colored stones, diamonds, works by master jewelers over several decades and property from the estate of the one and only Lucy, formally known as Lucille Desiree Ball, has a total value of more than $25 million, with an additional $4 million worth of jewelry in the second session.
