Charles and Colvard has teamed with family-owned department store Boscov's to help women in the fight against breast cancer, the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women.

For the entire month of October, five percent of the proceeds from all Charles and Colvard moissanite jewelry purchased in-store and sold nationally online at Boscov's will go toward funding the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

To further breast cancer awareness, the companies are giving away a free ribbon pin with every moissanite jewelry purchase. The ribbon pin features a moissanite at the center and will be accompanied with an educational bookmark detailing tips on how to combat breast cancer.

Boscov's will also sell a ribbon pendant featuring moissanite, specially priced at $299.97 for the month of October. The pendant's suggested retail price is normally $829.

Jewelry manufacturer Samuel Aaron International created the pin and pendant exclusively for Boscov's.
