Australia Raises Bar of Conduct - Rapaport
The Jewelers Association of Australia (JAA) will soon introduce a code of conduct to raise the bar and standardize business practices in the local industry.
JAA chief executive, Ian Hadassin, told Rapaport News the move was a second attempt to introduce such a code, and that “this time it will be done properly,” adding that all members of the jewelry industry would be expected to sign it.
“We need to get our industry on side, and raise the standard in all aspects of our trade, be it between manufacturers and retailers, or retailers and consumers,” Hadassin said in a telephone interview. “We need to raise the standards to industry best practices.”
