WEBSITE FOR MARKETING GEM AND JEWELRY

National Gem and Jewelry Authority has provided opportunities for national industrialists to market their gems and jewelries in the foreign markets through e-commerce facilities.

This is the first opportunity given to the local industrialists by a Sri Lanka Government institution to market their products via e-commerce under the title of “Value for money”.

 

Facilities have been provided for the gem and jewellers to exhibit their products and fix prices for the respective products through this website  www.srilankajemautho.com, developed by National Gem and Jewelry Authority. By this, foreign purchasers could place the orders for the products they are interested and the government will issue the  warranty certificates for their purchases.

Facilities have been provided for the local and foreign purchasers to place their orders for the products through this website and also enquiries could be made by the consumers about the items not mentioned in the website.

Once the item is  selected, the consumer has to e-mail after opening an e-mail account with the National Gem and Jewelry Authority. After opening the e-mail account the Authority will investigate in detail about the consumer and issue a password. Relevant payment could be made by Master or Visa Card and once the payment is made within 20 days the Authority will take necessary action to deliver the item  to the consumer.
