HRD to Hold Treated and Synthetic Diamonds Research Symposium - JB News Feed

HRD Research, a department of HRD Antwerp NV, plans to hold a symposium entitled “Treated and Synthetic Diamonds: Newest Developments” on October 24 in Antwerp. The purpose of the event is to inform the diamond industry about the latest developments in diamond synthesis and treatment.
 
The symposium aims to help the sector with the identification of synthetic and treated stones to increase consumer confidence in gem diamonds.
 
Speakers at the event will include J. Neogi of Serenity Technologies, who will speak on “Serenity Color Enhanced Diamonds”; P.H. Martineau of the DTC Research Centre, whose speech will focus on “Colorless and Heat-Treated Brown CVD Synthetic Diamonds”; J. Van Royen (HRD Research), who will highlight the importance of “HPHT Treatment of Type IaB Diamonds”; and J Chapman, from Rio Tinto Diamonds, who will describe “Techniques of Detecting Natural Pinks.”
 
The symposium will take place at 4 pm in the Oppenheimer Hall, located in the HRD Antwerp Building.
