India’s Sept Polished Exports +13%; Net Diamond Acct +12% - Rapaport

India's polished diamond exports grew 13 percent to $1.21 billion in September 2007, according to data released by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Centre.

Polished imports rose 90 percent from one year ago to $340.48 million during September, bringing India’s net polished exports (polished export less imports) down 3 percent to $875.33 million.

India’s rough imports fell 6 percent to $735.27 million in September, while its rough exports declined 15 percent to $40.55 million. Net rough imports (imports minus exports) decreased 6 percent to $694.72 million.
