Survey: Black Friday, Cyber Monday crucial to holiday

Chief marketing officers (CMOs) of leading U.S. retailers are estimating sales on Black Friday (Nov. 23) to account for 15.1 percent of their total 2007 holiday revenue, and sales on Cyber Monday (Nov. 26) to account for 12.3 percent of their holiday Internet sales, according to a new Retail Compass Survey by BDO Seidman LLP, a leading accounting and consulting organization.  They also project that about 21.3 percent of their holiday sales will take place in the final week before Christmas...
