Nearly 132.9 million Americans either plan to shop for the holiday season this Friday, Saturday or Sunday, or might shop, says the latest survey conducted by Big Research for the National Retail Federation (NRF).

According to the survey, 77.8 million consumers said they might shop this weekend, while 55.1 million people said they definitely plan to shop. Many of this year's post-Thanksgiving shoppers (47.2 percent) will be young adults, ages 18-24.
