Nov. Posts Largest Price Gains in 34yrs; Platinum, Gold Jewelry +2% - Rapaport

Elevated energy and commodity prices may add a new round of pressure to inflation, according to the Federal Reserve. In the latest inflation report from the government, platinum and gold jewelry prices at the wholesale level rose 2 percent during November.

Overall, across all product categories, prices rose 3.2 percent in November -- the biggest increase in 34 years. The main culprit to price hikes: Gasoline. Energy prices rose 14.1 percent in November.
