Brilliant Earth - Favorite Diamond Jewelry Resource of the Year - Susan Dorling
Some time ago I wrote about conflict diamonds at my jewelry collecting site at BellaOnline (see links at bottom of this article) and the crippling impact the diamond trade has had on many African communities. Being very interested in diamonds and also a Canadian, I was happy indeed to recently discover Brilliant Earth at www.brilliantearth.com.
It's not often I publish the same article at both my BellaOnline sites, but I really would like to share this great diamond jewelry and loose diamond shopping resource with other diamond aficionados. First of all, Brilliant Earth only sells diamonds from Canadian mines, guaranteed wholly free from violence and human rights abuses. They are also determined to promote sustainable practices by using environmentally responsible gold and platinum.

I agree, Brilliant Earth is doing a great job with conflict free diamonds and environmentally responsible approach to mining. Although we are not a diamond jewelry site, we too are conscious about the environment. Currently all of our gold comes from refining of previously mined gold. None of our gold rings use gold that has come from current mining activity. We would encourage as many jewelry entities to be as green as possible. There is a better way, it can be done.
