The Vera Wang Boutique at the Halekulani hotel plans to sell off its inventory at a discount because the New York-based designer's decision to eliminate a popular jewelry line sent sales plummeting in the past year.

Vera Wang's jewelry collection was the top seller since the shop opened, she said. But Wang's company deleted the jewelry line a year ago, and since then sales have fallen by more than 30 percent. Many of the Wang jewelry pieces sold for more than $1,000 each, Bebber said.
