Swatch Watch, Jewelry sales +20% in 2007 - Rapaport

The Swatch Group reported watch and jewelry sales grew 20.4 percent to CHF 4.71 billion ($4.28 billion) in 2007.
The company said all price categories and brands contributed to the sales growth for the year, adding that robust development in the jewelry sector contributed to the increase.

All regions posted strong double digit growth for the year, with Asia and the Middle East, recording “outstanding growth,” Swatch said.

Total group sales, including production and electronic systems, rose 17.6 percent to a record CHF 5.9 billion. Production sales grew 20.9 percent to CHF 1.68 billion, while Swatch electronic systems’ sales increased 6.2 percent to CHF 630 million.
