The new De Beers is an organization that is working hard to promote prosperity through the partnerships it is forging with diamond-producing countries, Group Managing Director Gareth Penny said Wednesday during a speech in South Africa. Addressing the Mining Indaba in Cape Town, he said that while De Beers has remained focused on its core assets, it also has established relationships in exploration and mining and, most recently, in sorting and marketing, to aid beneficiation.
