Zale is hoping that a few job cuts and some store closures will bring back the sparkle the jewelry retailer has lost in recent months. On Wednesday the company announced plans to streamline its operations after seven consecutive down quarters with hopes of saving more than $65 million annually. Zale Corp. (nyse: ZLC - news - people ) said that it will cut 255 jobs--140 in its Irving, TX.-headquarters and another 85 open positions--resulting in a 20% cut in staff.
