Christie’s New York plans to hold a special sale of period jewels from the 17th century through modern day on the evening of April 15, the auction house said. The sale, entitled ‘Rare Jewels and Gemstones: The Eye of a Connoisseur’ will include 115 lots and is expected to fetch record prices “for historical jewels, iconic emblems of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods," Christie's reported.
