Shane Co. worker charged in $1.2 million theft

Georgia police have charged a 30-year-old woman who worked for Shane Co. in Alpharetta, Ga., with theft after she allegedly swiped $1.2 million dollars in merchandise from her employer. Sara Lane Tolar of Marietta, Ga., was charged on multiple counts of theft after she allegedly tried to sell the stolen jewelry, according to a report in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
