Mining companies in Tanzania will soon be faced with a tax increase in June, according to local media reports.
Tanzania's minister of finance Mustafa Mkulo told The Citizen that the government determined mining companies should pay higher taxes after reviewing it's tax structure for the 2008-2009 national budget. He added that the budget is scheduled to be presented to the national assembly next month.
