Belgium’s May Polished Exports +14%

Belgium’s polished diamond exports rose 14 percent to $1.1 billion in May 2008, according to statistics provided by the Antwerp World Diamond Centre. Polished imports also grew 14 percent to $979.89 million, resulting in a 14 percent rise in net polished exports (polished exports less imports) to $121.85 million. Rough imports increased 3 percent to $962.69 million for the month, while rough exports grew 15 percent to $1.09 billion.
