Richard Hughes leaving AGTA GTC
Richard W. Hughes, gemological administrator for the American Gem Trade Center Gemological Testing Center (AGTA GTC), will be leaving his position for a new opportunity in Thailand, effective Aug. 31. Hughes has been with the AGTA since 2005. Hughes is one of the world's foremost authorities on ruby and sapphire. A Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, his first book, the highly regarded Corundum, was published in 1990.
